Magpie is a reminiscence on time wasted and past regrets that explores what it feels like to look back on a life of poor choices and how impactful it can be to meet someone who helps you become a better person. In this song, Seb tells his story of partying, sleeping around, and chasing thrills in an attempt to escape from the emotional vulnerability required to form meaningful relationships and how meeting the right person helped him open up and realise the toxicity of his past habits.
